Chris Bangs

Hi! I am Chris Bangs and I have been involved with gymnastics in some aspect my whole life. I have coached gymnastics for the past 25 years. I have coached all levels of kids. I have judged gymnastics and I currently help direct the PGA program. I am a 5th grade teacher at Medford Elementary School and the mom of 3 wonderful boys. I think that gymnastics is one of the best sports around. It teaches girls that they can do anything through hard work. I love our gymnastics academy because the coaches here are passionate about this sport, we have fun dedicated parents, and we run a great program.

I am a traveling Nuclear Medicine Technologist. One of my greatest passions is helping others. I am a perfectionist, which isn't always a good thing! :P

My love for the sport of gymnastics started at the age of 8 and there was no looking back! I was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and have now been coaching for 9 years; ranging in age from toddlers to high schoolers. My favorite event is beam!

Believe in what you do. Believe in your goals. Don’t let a bad practice or an unsuccessful competition ruin your confidence and your belief in yourself. Gymnasts learn more from a bad experience; so appreciate every day of your life. Whether a good day or a bad day, you can’t replay it!
